VITRO Inc., the data center arm of the PLDT Group, has graduated the first batch of 40 students from its micro-credential program, VITRO Academy, during a ceremony at its AI-ready hyperscale data center in Santa Rosa.
The program, developed in partnership with several Philippine universities, trains aspiring engineers for careers in the growing data center industry, offering a pathway from classroom learning to internship and employment.
Out of the inaugural class, 35 graduates will proceed to paid internships, while the top six performers will be offered jobs at VITRO Inc.
Batch topnotcher Chrishiel Paige Villanueva of Asia Pacific College led the cohort of graduates.
VITRO Academy aims to build a skilled, homegrown talent pipeline to support the Philippines’ digital infrastructure growth and the nation’s broader digital transformation.
