President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. emphasized the pivotal role of a revitalized agriculture sector in addressing hunger during the “Bagong Pilipinas” era.
Speaking at a ceremonial palay harvesting event in Candaba, Pampanga, he pledged comprehensive government support to ensure no Filipino goes hungry.
President Marcos underscored the importance of collective effort in forging a prosperous nation where everyone thrives.
He assured farmers of sustained assistance and highlighted their contributions to increased rice production in 2023.
The event, attended by Department of Agriculture Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. and other officials, saw the distribution of aid to over 12,000 farmers and 10 farmers’ cooperatives and associations.
