A planned visit to an evacuation center in Bacolor was canceled due to bad weather, with DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian representing Marcos and distributing relief supplies to displaced families.
Pampanga has been placed under a state of calamity after severe flooding impacted over half a million residents and caused extensive damage to crops, livestock, and infrastructure.
The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council reported that more than 160,000 families were affected by the recent weather disturbances.
To maintain healthcare services, the Department of Health set up an emergency medical facility in Macabebe after the Domingo B. Flores District Hospital closed due to flooding.
