PAGASA REPORTS LOW PROBABILITY OF LPA STRENGTHENING

A low-pressure area (LPA) located 1,410 kilometers east of Central Luzon has a low chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours, PAGASA said.

The agency assured the public that the LPA is not expected to intensify soon.

Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon or habagat continues to bring widespread rains and thunderstorms across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Thunderstorm advisories were issued for Metro Manila and several provinces due to the ongoing weather conditions.

PAGASA also warned small sea vessels to exercise caution as thunderstorms may cause rough sea conditions, with daytime temperatures ranging from 16 to 34 degrees Celsius nationwide.
