Secretary Frederick Go, the Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs, expressed optimism about New Clark City’s potential as an investment hub, particularly for the pharmaceutical and semiconductor industries.
Covering over 9,450 hectares, New Clark City aims to be the Philippines’ first smart, green, and resilient metropolis.
Go highlighted the importance of the CREATE MORE bill in attracting more investors to the city, with Filinvest Land, Inc. already developing the Filinvest Innovation Park within the area.
Other upcoming developments in New Clark City include the BSP Complex, public schools and universities, a luxury resort, and the National Academy of Sports.
Additionally, there is hope for amendments to the BCDA Charter to be signed before the State of the Nation Address on July 24, aiming to extend BCDA’s corporate life, convert properties to freehold status, and increase its authorized capital.
