The National Basketball League-Pilipinas (NBL-Pilipinas), together with Korean brand Le P: Lab and SBTown, has launched the Philippine Champions Cup, a new 3×3 basketball tournament with a ₱2-million prize pool.
The competition will feature eight legs nationwide, with the top 16 teams advancing to a single-elimination playoff culminating in the finals on August 8 at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Open to players aged 18 to 35, the tournament excludes active PBA players but allows retired professionals who have been inactive for at least two years.
Supported by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, officials said the event aims to promote 3×3 basketball and provide a platform for young talent and community engagement.
Aside from the main competition, fans can also expect special exhibition games featuring Korean celebrities and a Filipino legends team composed of well-known former PBA players.
