NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SPORTS TO LAUNCH DORMITORY FOR STUDENT-ATHLETES

Filipino student-athletes at the National Academy of Sports (NAS) in New Clark City will soon benefit from a new dormitory set to house up to 400 athletes in a safe, supportive environment.

The facility, planned to start construction in January 2026, will feature separate wings for males and females, along with amenities such as a dining hall, recreational rooms, and laundry areas.

Department of Budget and Management Secretary Amenah Pangandaman emphasized that the dormitory is a major investment in the youth, providing more than just shelter by supporting their well-being, nutrition, and performance.

The project is a collaboration between the DBM and the Base Conversion and Development Authority, aligning with New Clark City’s vision for world-class athletic and academic development.

Since its opening in 2020, NAS has supported hundreds of scholar-athletes, and the dormitory aims to further enhance their competitive edge for international competitions.
