On Sunday, she shared a Facebook update with the message “Ready to serve…” and the hashtag #Makati2025, accompanied by a photo of herself holding a heart-shaped sign marked “100%,” indicating her strong commitment.
Speculation about her candidacy has been ongoing for months, with Binay mentioning that she would “most likely” run for mayor, pending a final sign.
Binay’s candidacy is supported by her family, including her father, former Vice President Jejomar Binay, a former Makati mayor.
As her term as senator concludes in 2025, her sister Abigail Binay has also hinted at a potential mayoral bid in Taguig City.
