Makati City mayor-elect and outgoing Senator Nancy Binay said she is willing to reach out to her sister, outgoing Makati mayor Abby Binay, and Taguig City mayor Lani Cayetano after assuming office on June 30.
Nancy Binay defeated her brother-in-law, Rep. Luis Campos, in the recent midterm elections, while Abby Binay lost her senatorial bid.
She plans to initiate dialogue to resolve issues involving assets controlled by Taguig City following a Supreme Court ruling, including schools, health centers, and parks in the disputed “Embo” barangays.
Binay also emphasized the importance of forming transition teams to address the legal status of these barangays.
Additionally, she said she will review the Makati City subway project, which is currently facing arbitration, and expressed openness to mass transportation development despite potential costs.
