MUNTINLUPA GOVERNMENT BANS FISHING AMID TROPICAL STORM CRISING

The Muntinlupa City government has banned all watercraft from sailing or fishing in Laguna Lake on July 18 due to the threat posed by tropical storm Crising.

This order from the Lake Management Office aims to ensure the safety of fishermen and vessel operators amid worsening weather conditions.

On July 17, Mayor Ruffy Biazon also suspended face-to-face classes in all public and private schools for July 18 as a precaution.

According to PAGASA, as of July 18 afternoon, Crising was located 135 kilometers east-northeast of Tuguegarao City, with maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h and gusts up to 90 km/h.

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals No. 1 and No. 2 remain in effect for several parts of Luzon, warning residents of strong to gale-force winds and possible damage.
