Motorists will face another fuel price hike starting Tuesday, January 14, with gasoline and kerosene prices rising by nearly P1 per liter.
Oil companies, including PetroGazz, Seaoil, CleanFuel, and Shell Pilipinas, announced the increases on January 13, with diesel prices also climbing by P0.90 per liter.
For Seaoil and Shell Pilipinas, kerosene will see an increase of P0.80 per liter.
This marks the second consecutive week of price hikes, exceeding the Department of Energy’s (DOE) projections.
The DOE attributes the rise to declining US crude oil inventories, influenced by colder temperatures, and notes that fuel prices surged overall in 2024.
