The cost of fuel is expected to increase again next week, according to an oil company.
From September 5 to 11, diesel prices per liter are projected to rise by ₱1 to ₱1.20.
This will mark the ninth consecutive week of price hikes since July 10.
Gasoline prices may stay the same, but there is a chance of a 30- to 50-centavo increase per liter. Another source in the industry suggests that gasoline prices may go up by 10 to 50 centavos per liter, while diesel prices may increase by 75 centavos to ₱1.15.
The Department of Energy reported that there has been an overall increase in gasoline, diesel, and kerosene prices this year. Gasoline has gone up by ₱14.80 per liter, diesel by ₱9.50 per liter, and kerosene by ₱6.64 per liter.
