Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the company plans to invest at least $60 billion in artificial intelligence in 2025, positioning the tech giant as a leader.
The company aims for Meta AI to become the top digital assistant, with over a billion users, and for its Llama 4 model to lead AI advancements.
To support these ambitions, Meta will develop an AI “engineer” for coding and build a massive new data center, with total capital expenditures for AI expected to reach $60 billion to $65 billion this year.
Zuckerberg described the investment as a major step toward driving innovation and strengthening U.S. leadership in technology.
The announcement comes shortly after President Donald Trump’s $500 billion AI infrastructure project and Microsoft’s planned $80 billion investment in AI.
