MAYOR ZAMORA HIGHLIGHTS IMPORTANCE OF CITY LEADERSHIP ON FIRST PHILIPPINE REPUBLIC ANNIVERSARY

San Juan City Mayor and League of Cities of the Philippines president Francisco Javier Zamora highlighted the crucial role of city leaders in upholding democratic ideals during the 127th anniversary of the First Philippine Republic at Barasoain Church on Friday, January 23.

He stressed that leadership rooted in integrity, compassion, and accountability is essential for effective public service and stronger communities.

The commemoration featured a flag-raising and wreath-laying ceremony honoring Filipino patriots who contributed to the establishment of the first constitutional republic in Asia in 1899.
