Mayor Joy Belmonte led the formal opening of Bahay Modernismo, the newest heritage museum of Quezon City, located inside Quezon Memorial Circle.
The museum was built to preserve the mid-century Filipino architectural and cultural heritage and to revive the modern domestic lifestyle of Filipinos after the war.
Bahay Modernismo was constructed using original architectural fragments from the former Aquino family home on Times Street, now restored as a historic museum.
The opening was attended by city officials and Presidential Adviser for Pasig River Rehabilitation Jose Rizalino Larion Acuzar.
Admission to the museum is free, and it is open Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, inviting everyone to explore the city and the nation’s history.
