Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte inspected an empty lot owned by Destileria Limtuaco CEO Olivia Limpe-Aw, which is being considered for the construction of a world-class centralized slaughterhouse in Barangay Sauyo.
The local government plans to collaborate with the private sector to ensure that the meat consumed by QC residents is fresh and hygienic.
The inspection was also attended by Chief of Staff Rowena Macatao, Action Officer Atty. Mark Aldave, City Planning and Development Department, OIC Jed Gomez, P/B Noel Vitug, and staff from the City Veterinary Department.
This project aims to improve food safety and support local businesses.
Mayor Belmonte emphasized the city’s commitment to providing safe and quality food for its citizens.
