Digital bank Maya has launched Paleng-Kita, a credit program aimed at providing collateral-free loans to market vendors and public transport drivers.
The initiative ties credit access to users’ digital payment activity through QR Ph and the Maya app, allowing micro-entrepreneurs to build a transaction history that supports loan eligibility.
The program operates under the broader Paleng-QR Ph initiative, in partnership with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, DILG, LGUs, and financial service providers.
Maya uses an AI-driven credit scoring system to assess applicants based on their payment behavior rather than traditional credit checks.
Qualified borrowers can access initial credit lines of PHP3,000 through the Maya Advance product.
