Sen. Mark Villar topped the list of the richest senators with a net worth of ₱1.2 billion, while Sen. Francis Escudero was the least wealthy with ₱18.8 million, according to their latest Statements of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN).
Fourteen senators released their SALNs following a new Ombudsman directive restoring full public access to officials’ wealth disclosures.
Villar, who declared 14 properties and no liabilities, was followed by Raffy and Erwin Tulfo with ₱1.05 billion and ₱497 million, respectively, while Escudero’s assets were mainly in cash and securities.
Other notable declarations include Camille Villar’s ₱362 million in assets and business interests in 23 firms, and Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri’s ₱431.7 million net worth.
Minority senators Alan Peter Cayetano, Ronald dela Rosa, Imee Marcos, and Rodante Marcoleta have yet to make their SALNs public.
