President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said the aircraft of fugitive former lawmaker Zaldy Co are likely in Singapore and Malaysia, as authorities work to locate and freeze his assets.
Marcos ordered the Department of Transportation and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines to coordinate with counterparts in those countries regarding Co’s planes, which are registered under Misibis Aviation and Development Corp.
The Anti-Money Laundering Council has already issued a freeze order preventing the aircraft from being used.
Marcos urged Co to return to the Philippines and face charges related to the flood control scam in Negros Oriental.
Co, who has left the country, has accused the Marcos family of corruption, claims the family has denied.
