The Department of Health (DOH) has launched a mass vaccination drive for infants under 12 months, as announced by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
In a video message, Marcos urged the public to combat vaccine hesitancy, assuring that government-provided vaccines are safe and effective.
He encouraged parents to bring their children for vaccination, addressing concerns about potential harm from the shots.
The DOH has faced challenges in vaccine distribution, leading to lapses in immunization earlier this year, particularly due to inadequate storage facilities at some health centers.
Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa emphasized the importance of overcoming these obstacles to ensure broader vaccination coverage.
