President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has established an inter-agency task force to lead the Philippines’ preparations for hosting WorldSkills ASEAN Manila 2025, scheduled for August 26 to 28 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
The event will feature around 300 participants from 10 ASEAN countries competing in 32 skill areas across six sectors, including ICT, construction, creative arts, manufacturing, social services, and transportation.
The task force, chaired by TESDA’s director general and co-chaired by the Labor secretary, includes key government officials from various departments and agencies.
TESDA will serve as the secretariat, providing technical and operational support for the event.
The government is also calling on local government units and the private sector to support the preparations and hosting of this regional skills competition.
