The Makati City Regional Trial Court has issued an arrest warrant for Batangas 1st District Rep. Leandro Leviste over an alleged violation of the Public Service Act.
The NBI confirmed the warrant on Wednesday and said the court set bail at PHP72,000.
The NBI has not yet released further details about the case.
Leviste was reportedly in France with his mother, Sen. Loren Legarda, after they traveled there on Aug. 2.
The arrest order comes as authorities await further developments on the case and Leviste’s whereabouts.
