Solid North Party-list Rep. Ching Bernos urged the government to provide digital literacy training for Filipino youth, particularly those unable to pursue higher education.
She said digital skills can help out-of-school youth qualify for remote and technology-related jobs while saving for further studies.
Bernos called on TESDA to expand training programs in areas such as digital marketing, artificial intelligence, web development, and content creation.
She emphasized that these programs can provide young Filipinos with livelihood opportunities and a path toward achieving their educational goals.
The lawmaker said government support is crucial in helping students overcome financial barriers to higher education.
