Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson said additional cases of alleged double billing and collection involving infrastructure projects in Taguig City have been uncovered, including projects that reportedly used the same photographs for billing purposes.
He said the evidence, including an alleged money trail, would soon be submitted to the Office of the Ombudsman.
Lacson’s latest disclosure follows earlier claims that two separate infrastructure projects with different appropriations, locations, and contractors shared identical photos and were both billed and paid.
Senate Minority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano denied involvement in the alleged anomalies and said he is prepared to face the corruption allegations.
Cayetano also suggested that any irregularities may have been committed by contractors, noting that the city government had previously blacklisted contractors involved in wrongdoing.
