RENEE CO SAYS ADMINISTRATION FAILED TO DELIVER FOR FILIPINOS

Kabataan Party-list Rep. Renee Co criticized the Marcos administration ahead of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s fifth State of the Nation Address, saying it had failed to fulfill its promises to improve the lives of Filipinos.

She accused the government of allowing corruption to persist without accountability and said many young Filipinos have become disillusioned with the administration.

Co also cited rising prices, regressive taxes, and inadequate wages as signs of worsening economic conditions affecting ordinary workers.

The lawmaker questioned the government’s priorities, criticizing the Pax Silica agreement with the United States and urging greater focus on domestic concerns such as the economy and public services.

She further said the administration has not adequately addressed the education crisis, including problems in literacy, school completion, and access to quality and affordable education.
