Actress Kylie Padilla is advocating for increased awareness and support for postpartum depression, drawing from her struggles after giving birth in 2019.
In a Facebook post, she recalled suffering from complications such as “binat,” spinal cord injection issues, and difficulties with walking and breastfeeding, which led to severe mental and physical stress.
Kylie emphasized that her post was not just about her own experience, but also aimed to highlight the plight of new mothers, especially those lacking financial and emotional support.
She is calling for more understanding of postpartum health issues and pushing for paid maternity leave and greater societal compassion.
Padilla, who has two sons, stressed that mothers need adequate rest and support after childbirth to care for themselves and their children effectively.
