John Cabang Tolentino won the bronze medal in the men’s 110-meter hurdles at the 2026 Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan, on Sunday, Sept. 27.
The 2025 Southeast Asian Games gold medalist clocked a season-best 13.48 seconds after making a strong push in the final 10 meters.
Tolentino edged Hsieh Yuan-Kai of Chinese Taipei, who finished fourth, to secure a spot on the podium.
China’s Chen Yuanjiang won gold in 13.15 seconds, while Japan’s Rachid Muratake took silver in 13.29 seconds.
The bronze marked Tolentino’s redemption after narrowly missing the podium at the 2022 Asian Games and was the Philippines’ first athletics medal in Nagoya.
