Jimuel Pacquiao is set to make his second professional boxing appearance on April 3, facing Darrick Gates in a four-round lightweight bout at Pechanga Resort and Casino.
The fight is part of the undercard for Filipino minimumweight champion Pedro Taduran, who will defend his IBF title against Gustavo Perez Alvarez.
Pacquiao, 25, aims to secure his first pro victory after a challenging debut against Brendan Lally.
Gates has only one professional fight, a loss last year, but brings experience from bare-knuckle boxing.
Originally scheduled to fight Santana Figueroa in February, Pacquiao’s bout was postponed and now presents a chance to show his growth as a boxer.
