Senator Imee Marcos revealed that her communication with her cousin, House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, has been minimal, citing disagreements on various issues, including the People’s Initiative to amend the Constitution and the 2025 budget.
She mentioned that while she greets Romualdez during public events, their differing views have led to limited interaction.
Marcos acknowledged her strong friendship with Vice President Sara Duterte, despite the impeachment proceedings Duterte is currently facing.
Regarding her potential inclusion in the PDP-Laban’s senatorial slate, Marcos remained uncertain, expressing her desire to avoid political conflict.
She recently joined the administration’s official senatorial slate in Iloilo City, alongside other prominent political figures.
