IBF CHAMPION TADURAN CRUISES TO VICTORY OVER BALUNAN

Pedro Taduran successfully defended his IBF minimumweight title with a dominant performance over Christian Balunan at the San Andres Sports Complex in Manila.

The 12-round bout ended with judges scoring 117-111 and 118-110 in favor of Taduran.

Balunan suffered a bloodied face from an accidental headbutt in the fourth round and absorbed repeated flurries of punches from the reigning champion.

Taduran, 28, showcased relentless aggression until the final bell, leaving Balunan with his first career defeat and a 12-1 record.

The victory improved Taduran’s professional record to 19 wins, 4 losses, and 1 draw, and the two fighters embraced each other in mutual respect after the match.
