More than 30 years after its television debut, Home Along Da Riles is returning to audiences through the film Home Along Da Riles Da Reunion, which continues the story of the Cosme family rather than remaking the original series.
Director Boy2 Quizon said the project aims to honor the legacy of his grandfather, Dolphy, while focusing on the surviving family members in a modern setting.
The film reunites several original cast members, including Nova Villa, Claudine Barretto, Smokey Manaloto, and Vandolph Quizon.
Producers said the movie balances nostalgia with updated storytelling to appeal to both longtime fans and younger viewers unfamiliar with the original sitcom.
Set to open in cinemas on June 17, the film highlights enduring themes of family, resilience, and humor that continue to resonate across generations.
