GUO’S HELPERS WILL FACE JUSTICE, SAYS MARCOS JR.

President Ferdinand Marcos warned that those attempting to escape justice, exemplified by the arrest of dismissed Bamban mayor Alice Guo in Indonesia, would eventually face the law.

Marcos announced plans to dismiss and file charges against officials aiding Guo’s escape, stressing that justice will not be delayed.

Guo, facing charges of graft, human trafficking, and money laundering, was arrested in Jakarta and is expected to be returned to the Philippines soon.

Marcos expressed gratitude to law enforcement and the Indonesian government for cooperating in the case.

The Department of Justice is investigating the possible involvement of immigration personnel in Guo’s escape and has requested assistance from the Civil Aviation Authority to check flight records.
