Senator Christopher “Bong” Go urged the government to prioritize aid for victims of recent natural disasters instead of funding alleged ghost projects and corrupt flood control programs.
Go experienced the strong earthquake in Davao Oriental on October 10 while attending an inauguration in Davao Occidental, but continued relief efforts despite the tremor.
He visited quake-hit areas to assess damage, distribute relief goods, and console affected families.
Go emphasized that public funds should be used to support disaster-stricken communities rather than be lost to corruption.
He also called for ongoing compassion and the expansion of Super Health Centers and Malasakit Centers to provide accessible healthcare in vulnerable areas.
