GINEBRA, TNT CLASH ANEW IN PBA SEASON 50 FINALS OPENER

Barangay Ginebra and TNT are set to renew their intense rivalry as they open Game 1 of the PBA Season 50 Commissioner’s Cup Finals on Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum.

Both teams advanced after 4-2 semifinal series victories, with Ginebra defeating Rain or Shine and TNT eliminating Meralco to set up another championship rematch.

Ginebra coach Tim Cone said the series offers a chance at redemption after losing to TNT in previous finals meetings, while Scottie Thompson emphasized using past defeats as motivation.

Veteran import Justin Brownlee continues to lead Ginebra’s charge, supported by RJ Abarrientos, while TNT looks to sustain its title run behind a strengthened lineup and comebacking import Chris McCullough.

The best-of-seven series begins at 7:30 p.m. as both teams aim to claim the Season 50 crown.
