GCash has launched its Virtual US Account, allowing over two million Filipino freelancers to receive dollar payments directly in their e-wallet without transfer fees.
The new feature lets users hold their earnings in dollars, choose when to convert to pesos, and access real-time exchange rates.
Unlike other platforms that take conversion and transfer fees, GCash ensures freelancers get their full compensation instantly, bypassing the usual three-day cash-out wait.
The account is powered by Meridian Payments US and provides users with a unique wire routing number for direct transfers from overseas employers.
GCash aims to help Filipino freelancers retain the full value of their earnings and access funds immediately for everyday needs.
