GATCHALIAN SAYS SENATE WEBSITE OPENS ACCESS TO DUTERTE IMPEACHMENT DOCUMENTS

Senate President Sherwin Gatchalian announced that all documents related to Vice President Sara Duterte’s impeachment trial are now publicly available on the Senate website through a dedicated impeachment portal.

The portal contains records from the prosecution, defense, court issuances, and trial journal, allowing the public to monitor the proceedings.

Gatchalian encouraged Filipinos to review the documents, saying the public ultimately serves as the final judge of the impeachment process.

Duterte’s trial, which began on July 6, is scheduled to run for 92 trial days.

She faces four articles of impeachment involving the alleged misuse of confidential funds, unexplained wealth, bribery and procurement irregularities, and alleged threats against top government officials.
