GARMA’s LAWYERS DENY COERCION CLAIMS IN SENATE PROBE

The lawyers of retired police Col. Royina Garma have denied allegations made by Police Col. Hector Grijaldo that he was coerced into confirming a reward system for rogue policemen. Grijaldo made these claims during a Senate investigation into Duterte’s drug war. Garma’s lawyers clarified that they were merely witnesses at the meeting, where no pressure was applied to Grijaldo. They also called for action against Grijaldo’s perjured testimony, and the matter will be included in the committee’s records.
