Former Philippine women’s national basketball team player Vicki Brick has passed away at the age of 43 after a long battle with ovarian cancer.
A Filipino-American guard, Brick played college basketball for Maryland in the US NCAA and was part of the Philippine team that earned a SEABA silver medal and a bronze in the 2007 Southeast Asian Games.
She played alongside notable teammates like Emilia Vega, Joan Grajales, and Cassie Tioseco under coach Fritz Gaston.
After her basketball career, Brick managed her family’s fitness business, Brick Bodies, in Baltimore.
She is survived by her husband Evan Zupancic and their daughter Jordan.
