The Free Legal Assistance Group (FLAG) launched its anniversary book, “Frontliners for Human Rights,” chronicling 50 years of legal battles for justice in over 9,000 cases.
The book honors the courage of lawyers and volunteers while calling on the next generation to continue defending human rights.
FLAG Interim National Chairperson Atty. Theodore Te emphasized that the fight is far from over, especially with ongoing threats like authoritarianism and disinformation.
Senior Associate Justice Marvic Leonen and other legal experts praised the book as a testament to FLAG’s legacy and a source of accountability.
The launch was attended by legal luminaries, civil society partners, and former clients, highlighting FLAG’s enduring commitment to justice.
