Filipina tennis sensation Alex Eala advanced to the next round of the W100 Vitoria-Gasteiz in Spain by defeating Lian Tran of the Netherlands with a score of 6-4, 6-2.
This victory follows Eala’s recent career-high ranking of 155th in the world. The match showcased Eala’s dominance, particularly in service and receiving points, where she outperformed Tran significantly.
Next, Eala will face hometown favorite Lucia Cortez Llorca in the round of 16, scheduled for Thursday evening.
