DTI CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL WELCOMES COBONPUE AS NEW MEMBER

President Ferdinand Marcos has appointed renowned industrial designer Kenneth Cobonpue to the Philippine Creative Industries Development Council as the private sector representative for the design domain. 

Cobonpue, known for his work in industrial design and his successful furniture company, has received numerous accolades including Japan’s Good Design Award and the Design for Asia Award. 

The Presidential Communications Office also announced several other appointments: Peter Corvera, Trygve Olaivar, and Mel Verzosa as education undersecretaries; Malcolm Garma as education assistant secretary; and Roberto Diciembre as executive director of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board.

Additionally, new appointments include Teresita Mabunay to the Department of Agrarian Reform, Crispian Lao and Dwight Ramos to the National Solid Waste Management Commission, and Jose Mejia to the Judicial and Bar Council.
