Drones struck the Embassy of the United States, Riyadh, on Tuesday as Iran retaliated against industrial and diplomatic targets across the Middle East, days after US and Israeli strikes reportedly killed Iran’s supreme leader.
Smoke damage was seen on the embassy compound as Saudi security forces sealed off parts of Riyadh’s diplomatic quarter.
Explosions also rocked Tehran overnight while US President Donald Trump warned of further escalation in the widening conflict.
The United States Department of State urged Americans to immediately leave countries across the Middle East due to serious safety risks.
