The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) assured that all flood control investigation records are safe after a fire hit its research and standards office in Quezon City on October 22.
The fire reportedly started when a computer unit exploded inside the Materials Testing Division, causing no injuries.
The Bureau of Research and Standards immediately sent a team to assess the damage and prevent future incidents.
The Bureau of Fire Protection responded with 10 fire trucks after the fire escalated to a third alarm.
DPWH promised to provide updates as more information becomes available.
