The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) addressed over 34,000 worker concerns through its Hotline 1349 in the first quarter of 2025.
Most calls, making up nearly 69 percent, involved labor standards issues such as unpaid final pay, holiday pay, and resignation procedures.
Employment facilitation questions accounted for about 19 percent, mainly concerning local employment and probationary policies.
Social welfare and protection inquiries made up nearly 5 percent, with many related to non-remittance of mandatory benefits and maternity leave.
DOLE continues to emphasize its commitment to safeguarding labor rights and providing timely support via the hotline, which operates weekdays from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
