The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has introduced the e-Gov and e-LGU mobile applications at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center, aiming to enhance government service efficiency and reduce transaction times.
Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority chairman Eduardo Jose Aliño praised the initiative, noting that the e-Gov app will streamline access to government services, reduce queues, and improve transparency.
The app integrates various local and national services into one platform, which includes business permit licensing and civil registry.
DICT officials highlighted that the launch is particularly beneficial for businesses in the Subic Bay Freeport Zone by digitizing processes.
The e-LGU system is part of a broader digital transformation effort to improve service delivery and transparency, as mandated by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
