Defending champion Team Liquid Philippines defeated Onic Philippines, 3-1, to advance to the grand finals of MPL Philippines Season 17 and secure a spot in the Mid-Season Cup at the Esports World Cup in Paris, France.
TLPH started strong by taking the first two games, but faced a comeback attempt from Onic PH, which kept the series competitive.
In Game 4, Onic built an early lead, but Team Liquid PH held firm on defense and turned the match around with a crucial mid-lane clash led by Alston “Sanji” Pabico’s triple kill.
The Cavalry completed a dramatic 12-13 comeback after wiping out most of Onic PH, with Sanji, Karl “Karltzy” Nepomuceno, and Dave “Teddy” Vianña delivering key performances throughout the series.
The victory secured Team Liquid PH’s third straight Finals appearance and confirmed their qualification for the MSC.
