COURT MANDATES REMOVAL OF BARRICADES FROM QUIBOLOY’S PROPERTY

Apollo Quiboloy’s camp secured a legal victory as the Supreme Court upheld a temporary protection order (TPO) issued by a Davao City court amid a police standoff with his supporters.

The TPO mandates the Philippine National Police (PNP) to remove barricades blocking access to Quiboloy’s Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound and affiliated premises.

While Davao’s regional police chief Brig. Gen. Nicolas Torre III stated they would respect the order, and Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos clarified that ongoing operations to locate Quiboloy would continue.

The Supreme Court’s spokesperson confirmed the PNP is required to comply with the Davao court’s order. The standoff has now reached its fourth day.
