At least 43 landowners in Pampanga have agreed to provide their properties for the Subic-Clark-Manila-Batangas railway project, with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) distributing 68 Transfer Certificates of Title (TCTs) to affected owners.
The landowners’ cooperation has been crucial for the smooth completion of the project, with the government compensating them through negotiated settlements.
The SCMB is part of the Luzon Economic Corridor, funded by the USD600 billion Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment.
This project is expected to boost economic growth across the region.
