Authorities have arrested Lin Xunhan, a Chinese national described as the “boss of the boss” of a network of illegal Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGOs) linked to human trafficking and online scams.
The arrest took place in Biñan, Laguna, following an extensive eight-month surveillance conducted by the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies.
Lin, who has operated under multiple aliases and managed various scam farms across several regions, is considered a significant figure in organized crime within the Philippines.
His capture is seen as a crucial development that could lead to identifying other key players in the illegal POGO operations.
Officials are now focusing on Lin’s local and international associates, hoping his insights will help dismantle the broader criminal network.
