The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has warned the public against “diploma mills” and unauthorized institutions offering substandard or unrecognized graduate programs.
Only CHED-recognized higher education institutions are allowed to offer graduate programs, and violations may result in program closure, fines, or revocation of permits.
CHED has instructed its regional offices to monitor compliance and has coordinated with DepEd, PRC, and BARMM to strengthen enforcement.
Students enrolled in unrecognized programs will not have their credentials validated for employment, licensure, or further studies.
The Teacher Education Council (TEC) has voiced support for CHED’s crackdown, urging students to pursue only accredited programs to ensure quality education and professional growth.
